How To Fix Ps3 Controller Analog Stick Loose

Hi,
I have a problem with my sixaxis and its get unusable. The thing is the right stick drifts up and never wants to come downwards. Merely to be clear the stick isnt stuck physically, even when centered it drifts.

For example, I cannot play any game that uses the right analog to control the camera (which has become a standard) because the character will wait up forever and its impossible for me to bring it down fifty-fifty with the stick pointed down.

I have tried resetting the controller with a needle, charged it fully, belch it completely and the problem persists.

Does anyone know how to set up this?, if y'all do please explain. I tin open it upwards since I dont have warranty anymore.

The sixaxis are notorious for this, we haven't establish anyway to fix it. The analog sticks have been upgraded in the ds3 considering of this, my only suggestion would be to invest in a ds3.

My original sixaxis has the same drift trouble but information technology doesn't audio like its equally bad equally yours. I but bought a DS3 nearly two calendar month ago then I could play COD4 again.
@ canuckerz: You lot said that they accept upgraded the DS3. Does this hateful that they have fixed the problem? I have been so paranoid about the same thing happening to my new DS3 that I use my sometime sixaxis for virtually of my other games. I am simply trying preserve the life of my DS3 for COD4.

Is anyone else experiencing this trouble with a DS3.

I've been using my ds3 ever since they came out in NA and in that location is stil no wear on the analogs. The trouble can't be completely fixed only its a whole lot improve than the sixaxis.

I'm glad the DS3 is amend. My PS2 controller never wore out and I used it for years, I wonder why the sixaxis was different.

If you have an old PS2 controller possibly the analog sticks are the same internally, rip the onetime ane apart and take a await, mayhap y'all tin supersede it?

I have a couple of Dualshock 2 but I dont remember they are the same. I was thinking of ownership some damaged sixaxis to use for parts and peradventure substitution analogs but since you lot guys said its a common trouble I wont because most broken sixaxis controllers probably endure from this too.
Right at present I have a Nyko Null controller (cost me about $18) and I guess Ill accept to keep using that.

Ive heard the DS3s are much better Im gonna have to get one of those when I get a chance.

For the toll, I like it very much.
the tilt sense works just every bit the original sixaxis does, vibration is there and its actually pretty comfy.

The battery compartment can go in the way if you lot accept large fingers though but you can always play it with the USB string and remove the battery thing.

Kind of similar to the xbox360 controller. What I dont like is that it uses up my USB ports simply if yous accept the PS3 version that has a lot of USB ports and then that wont be a problem.

Its my principal controller right at present, and itll stay that way till I get a DS3...theyre too pricey.
